Admittedly, classic or o.t. era, it's a return to simplicity (sounds like a CR thread, eh?), and riding involves simple motion pleasure (as well as a bit of young revolutionary attitude re the messenger-thing - but hey, they're RIDING BIKES!).
I love riding my (two) fixed's - one K.O.F. Land Shark - that Dale spec'd - and it's classic (tho' later than CR components)! - it gets ridden more than my multi-gear'd Riv...and just last month received another K.O.F. from Jon Kendeziera (www.jonnycycles.com). My $0.02...
