If it was I feel sure that the chain would run on the bolts/spacers. 74BCD is still use by TA and was used on the original Shimano mountain bike chainset so there must be millions of rings out there. I have quite a few as I have moved from thirty to 24 via 28 and 26. However I have a nice Suntour chainset with inner ring of, I think, 56 BCD fitted with a 22 and it may take a 20 so I can gear down even further when I need to. Ray Green, Brighton, Sussex
