I took a scan of some more of the lugs in my hoard. The shame of it is that the ones I'd love to have more of are often just singletons whereas I've got roadster lugs pouring out of my earholes. Not complaining though because I've got juuuust enough of the right ones to build myself a purist Zen single speeder.

Those fork crowns I've got lots of - which is nice because I like them. I've got just one Rudge fork crown which I'd keep tucked under my pillow if it didn't need a good clean. As for those lightweight horizontal dropout lugs you're looking at the only two I've got (sigh). That snail cam chain tensioner is also unfortunately the only one I've got too, but at least I can make more on the lathe. Same goes for the single fork blade dropout, - just the one, but at least it won't be hard to copy. Anyone ever seen stay tube ends like those ones before? I've got heaps of the things and I must say they look more sexy that the usual diagonal cut flat faced things that most bikes have. I'm saving the best for last; - look at that beautiful narrow chainstay lug. I've also got just the one, but Oooooooo I want to find an excuse to build it into a frame. I did win those Williams block tooth chainwheels that were on auction...

...... and I found a singleton track type cottered bottom bracket crankshaft amongst all the lugs. I'm getting closer to my goal, but I must be patient and not get ahead of myself. Next I must get a complete set of lugs cleaned up and then I'll need to practice my silver soldering.......

Bicycles are soooooo much fun.

Cheers,

Annie
