Hello Kyle,
It was Bicycle Guide. As I recall, it was Antonio Columbo presenting Eric Clapton with a Cinelli SC. It was kinda cool, an old porcelin CINELLI shop sign was in the backround of the shot. How I wanted that sign. Fast forward 20 years or so, I have one now. Thank you Steven M. I read somewhere long time ago that Clapton and Ginger Baker were into cycles (among other things) and when it came time to name Creams 2nd album they wanted something that had a play on words. So elephantgerald (Ella Fitzgerald) came to mind or disraeli gears (derailed gears).

on some of these pages, you might have to scroll down a couple pictures to see the bikes.
Thing is, I remember reading years ago (like, 20 years) in one of the cycling magazines -- possibly Bicycling, but more likely, Bicycle Guide (which I liked infinitely better, and subscribed to, and miss a lot) -- that Clapton was big into cycling and there was this photo of him taking delivery of a new bike. I don't have the magazine anymore, but I seem to remember that the bike was a new Colnago with the full Campagnolo SR gruppo, and he was taking the bike from Sr. Colnago himself. The article mentioned that growing up he had ambitions to be a bicycle racer, but the music became the bigger deal for him.
cool stuff
