I have a set of nice early 80s vintage tubular wheels that might appeal to someone on the list. I'm trying to defray the cost of another new bike project.

Campagnolo Record hubs. Ambrosio Montreal hard anodized (dark grey) rims. 36 holes front and rear. Hubs are in great shape. Spinning smoothly. Rims look great, too. The sidewalls of the rims don't have the usual wear marks from braking that you often see even on hard anodized rims. The spokes have an oval profile -- not bladed, but slightly aero. I remember when these spokes were pretty popular since they supposedly gave some aero advantage, but didn't require modifying the hubs to get the spokes through the holes.

There are some tires mounted (mismatched budget tubulars), and while they may be useable, I'm sure you can find much better ones to put on. I can leave them on, or peel them off for the buyer (but I'm not removing old glue -- someone else can spend a Saturday afternoon doing that job!).

The only downside is the quick release skewers -- They are nice, clean, rust free, functionally perfect Campagnolo skewers -- but they are not Record skewers. Probably Grand Sport or Tipo parts.

I can email photos if you're interested.

I'd like to get $100 for them. I'm guessing shipping will add about $35 to the farthest reaches of the continental US. I'll ship them out of the US, but expect shipping to be really expensive -- all the shippping services are jacking up the prices on large box shipments.

Thanks,
