> When is the last time anyone here patched a tube?
Last month? I do it all the time - unless the tube is so damaged as to be irreperable. I always ride with both a spare tube and a patch kit. The spare tube is often a repaired tube. When a tube punctures during a ride I try to replace it with the spare. After the ride, I immediately patch the damaged tube and then it becomes a spare.
Also, in the days before lightweight tubes were generally available, I would remove the tubes from tubulars whose tread was worn and use those with clinchers.
Is this a generational thing? Geographical? Dare I say it,
ethnic?
