Hopefully no need to remind fans Peugeot and also British road cycling of a sad anniversary today:
The 40th anniversary of the death of Tom Simpson on 13 July 1967 climbing Mt. Ventoux on Stage 13 of the Tour de France.
And, on a happier note,
The 40th anniversary (23 July) of Roger Pingeon winning the Tour for the French national team in Peugeot colours and on classic white PX-10... the first and only one of the record 10 TdF wins for Peugeot on this iconic model.
No doubt which of my machines I'll be riding today and over the weekend...
