Subject: [CR]More on preventing seat post slipping on the road

Good buddy Lou Deeter has written to challenge my earlier suggestion (garnered from Larry Black) that one can create a hole in a seat post, even the unlikely event one had a Swiss Army Knife with them. Alas, I have to agree with him...Lou is rarely wrong...and apparently doesn't carry a Swiss Army Knife...I guess I don't either...maybe Larry does. I can tell you from experience that the effort to cut off a bit of Thompson Elite Post with a hack saw does make a Swiss Army Knife seem ineffectual for such a task... Lou does suggest wrapping the post with Duct tape to slow or stop it's downward drift...seems like a good idea...wonder if he carries duct tape with him? :^) Pondering the mysteries of the universe and seat posts in particular in
