Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on the Cuevas. I put several coats of wax on it today and also found I had a bottle of nail polish almost exactly the right color for touchup. I had bought it for the chartreuse Raleigh Super Tourer - didn't work there, but it does on the Cuevas. Pretty sure I'm not going to repaint the bike any time soon.
Next question. Anyone know if Francisco marked his frames with any sort of serial number or code for the build date? Haven't found any, but then I don't know where to look.
Finally, I'm trying to identify the 531 decal of which maybe 10% remains. It appears to have been the TI era, and in the upper left corner there are several characters in red font. On the CR site Reynolds page:

I see only one classic decal with any red lettering, namely 531 SL. Anyone know of another with red letters? Would it make sense that Francisco could have built with 531 SL?
