Regarding Jerry's questions about the 531s, I have either sourced from original or taken advice backed up by research from CR memebers or the wider vintage bike community (and there is one folks) to arrive at the combinations of frame/fork decals that I offer. Due to the wide variations that Reynolds had in the sizing and matching of the decals, I cant guarantee that my sets are exactly what you need for a specific purpose..but most come very close and that's why I have no problem with requests for specific frame decals and sometimes differing fork decals. When sizing comes into play, I usually have as many request for an increase in size of any one specific decal as I do for a decrease in size for the same decal. These requests originate from restorers wanting exactly the correct matching decal...which seems to back up my point about variations. Potentially several hundred designs and combinations of Reynolds frame/fork decals would not satisfy every need completely. So far I have kept my sanity and will continue to enlarge my range of offerings so as our pastime/obsession isnt held to ransom for expensive, unsound, unfindable original decals. I might mention also that I have been getting feedback from frame restorers who are finding that the modern 2 pack clear coats are wreaking havoc on some, but not all, water slide style transfers. On application of the final coat of clear the watersldies have been wrinkling up. Something to do with the chemistry. My advice would be to do a small sample first if you are using old water slide transfers or possibly go retro in the materials you are spraying with. I have heard that this is not quite so large a problem with pressure rub application style transfers and with gold size (or varnish fix) this is not a problem at all. One associate in particular who does a lot of warranty work for modern bike frames distributors, is finding the same thing even with modern, non vinyl decals. I must mention that the type of decals I sell are totally safe with modern 2 packs and in fact love the stuff.

Jerry asked...... Are his mid-70's 531 (Reynolds Tube Company) fork decals correct? Note that these fork decals are shield shaped, while the earliier 531 sets as well as the later TI 531 sets both have triangular fork decals. Further even the French version of his mid-70's fork decals are triangular. Opinions?
