Subject: [CR]Early 80s French bike: correct seatpost & pedals?

What range of seatposts and pedals would (non-campy) French bikes have had in the early 80s?

Were they using japanese seatposts on higher end models? (The way Gitane was putting japanese cranksets on some models on the higher end.) Mavic seatposts didn't appear till later according to my archive searh results. So was it Simplex posts only, unless it was a campy model like Gitane's?

Were Atom pedals typical? Were Gippiemme pedeals ever used on French bikes. (I have a pair of each.) TAs were rare I think. Were Lyotards used on the higher end?
