Ah, but Chuck, some of us host rides in the Davis, where the land is flatter than a pancake and the gearing is superfluous. From my emails with the seller, including steering him toward some pix of me from our St. Paddy's Day ride (on MY 1971 Masi GC, one cm larger than his), he was speaking optimistically about the geography -- and I won't let that slide!

And with such ideas in mind, you'll soon be seeing a post from me suggesting a ride focused on 3-Speeds, looking toward October for a likely date.... (Bikes with more speeds welcome, of course, and particularly for those with special gearing needs.)
