Alfred, your buddy should bring a bike if possible and ride! My wife and I took her bike (ot) and mine (1980 Mondonico) and between operas (it was mainly an opera vacation!!) we biked around the Central Park big loop and up and down the Hudson River side of Manhattan. Beautiful ride, and no glass!

Alfredo In the city, you have only a few vintage shops. Try Bikeworks, NYC velo in the East Village, Conrads near the United Nations, Each has interesting jerseys to take back to England. In Brooklyn, try R&A cycles. Also, be certain to pick up a bike route map of NYC. It is free and shows the location of all the NYC bike shops in the five boroughs

A fellow bikie is visiting New York next week.
