It would be interesting to see what a tubular tire actually looks like when mounted on this rim.

If it fits, it looks like there is not a lot of contact area for the glue because there would be no contact in the "well" of the rim. A regular sprint rim would provide a much larger contact surface. This rim might let the tire roll off under hard cornering due to the small glue area. Also, one would have to scrape all the glue residue off to mount a clincher tire. Just my opinion.
