I have both toe-clip and clipless on my bikes, and manage to go back and
forth between them without problems. I use toe-clips on my fixed gear
bike (well-worn Zeus track pedals) and my commuter bike (Campy Triomphe
pedals -- excellent support for street shoes!), and Look clipless on my
other bikes. I tried clipless on the fixed gear, but had more problems
getting in to the pedals and more inadvertent disengagement than with
toe-clip pedals.

In hindsight I think I would be better served with SPD type pedals than the Looks, but I'm not about to revamp everything just for that reason.
