Subject: Re: [CR]Source for Raleigh BB cups

I'm trying to find a source for bottom bracket cups for my old Raleigh. Raleigh used their own threading for Nottingham built bikes and no one else used it. Phil Woods is the only company still making cups that will fit but I'm looking for a less expensive option.

All the usual sources don't have any, including a couple of the big English shops. Does anyone know of a source for these or have some used ones they would be willing to sell?

Thanks Ken Doubt Chesley, ON Canada

As of a year ago, 30+year principal Anthony Muzi at http://www.yellowjersey.com was still maintaining no sealed BB was as reliable and low friction as a properly set up spindle, balls, and cups. Yellow Jersey probably collects every good part for resale. (I may donate some Shimano cups which are remarkably OK on the ball race path, considering the wretched condition of the race paths on the spindle they were until recently mated to. Thats metalurgy for you.)
