Very cool bike! The photo of the nice lug work at the joint
of the top tube and seat tube should have been appreciated by a
fair number of people.
But about that stem: To me it looks as though someone tried
to "massage" a Pivo stem to make it look a bit smoother. Also,
do you know the story with that extra long steering tube? It
makes me wonder if the bike originally came with some sort of
"clamp-on" stem, similar to the ones that René Herse often
installed on his bikes.
