I've decided to sell my pristine 20.5 inch 1971 Raleigh International. This is an outstanding example of this vintage English racing bicycle. This machine will require no restoration or mechanical work to ride, and it's nearly concours show quality. The price is $875.00 plus $75 for continental US shipping, and once you view the photographs I believe that you will realize that this is a bargain.
A detailed photo set has be created in my Flickr account. In addition to a fast slide view format, you can view individual images at the original 1024x768 resolution if you use the "see different sizes" option in the menu selection for each image. The bicycle is being sold complete as shown here:

I'm the second owner. I purchased this bicycle from the original owner about 15 years ago. He bought it new from Vandall's Cyclery in New Bedfrord MA. This bike has been sparingly and lovingly used, and the photos will attest to that. There have been some changes made to improve the rideability while retaining the vintage look and feel. The bike has a newly rebuilt wheelset with 700C Sun CR-18 polished rims on the Campy high flange hubs, and it has NOS Avocet tires. The bike has been converted to high-end Dia-Compe sidepull caliper brakes, and there are Simplex retrofriction shifters for improved gear changes. There's a SunTour ultra six freewheel in back and a smooth shifting D.I.D. chain. The original brakes, freewheel and chain will be included.
The Nuovo Record components on this machine are simply gorgeous, and I could probably part the bike out for more than my selling price, but I'd rather keep it intact and offer it to the next appreciative owner.
The only thing that detracts is a minor ding on the right side of the top tube, which I have shown in detail in a photograph.
Here are some of the itemized specifics:
20.5 inch frameset with Campy N/R headset. Seat tube is 52cm measured center to top, top tube measures 54.5cm center to center. Original coffee colored paint and Gold lettering in outstanding condition, however there is that one very small dent on right side of top tube. Chrome plating on Nervex lugs, half stays, fork lowers, and crown. Chrome is nearly perfect.
Campy 36 hole high-flange hubset with Sun CR-18 polished rims. 700x32 Avocet slicks, tan sidewalls.
Campy NR crankset, 172.5 arms. Has 42/53 rings, complete with all Campy chain ring bolts, dust caps, crank bolts. Nuovo Record bottom bracket.
Campy pat. 71 N/R rear derailleur, near mint
Campy no-clip flat cage front derailleur, also near mint
Ideale model 80 leather saddle and cyclo bag loops. Installed NOS. Campy 27.2 N/R two bolt seat post, some minor scratching on the backside.
Campy N/R quill pedals, w/toe strap loops, newer Christophe chrome toe clips, vintage NOS off-white English chrome tanned toe straps.
3T Record stem and 42cm handlebar, white Benotto tape.
Diacompe 57mm reach sidepull brakes and matching levers with gum hoods, front caliper has a drop bolt. I also have the original Weinmann 610 brakeset, levers have white hoods, excellent
Pump and bottle cage included.
The bicycle will be carefully packed and shipped fully insured. I prefer US buyers and prompt payment through PayPal.
Thanks,
