I can think of several reasons why a seller would remove something from ebay...
-offer of cash or high payment off ebay from a buyer -finds out how much it is worth and decides to keep it -finds out it is stolen when someone recognizes it -ebay cancels the listing for some silly reason
I'm sure there's other reasons...
