Yes, that was my initial reaction... cool detail.

But the more I thought about the more I thought it was not such a good thing. The cable makes a nice loop all by itself with out the help of the brazed-on loop to hold the cable to the seatstay, and it would be very easy for that little brazed-on loop made of wire to get flattened and broken off.

It's redundant and too fussy; no thank you.
