do not hold my memories to this but I think there were three models the top one had magnesium hubshell and titanium axle and they had little "E" clips to hold the axle in place and that set up a stress riser so those axles all broke. I think the second model also had that clip but in cro mo steel and the lowest one was standard threaded axle. But I will deny saying any of this.
