Regarding Barelli pedals, I once had a usually reliable source tell me that Barellis had a habit of cracking their spindles, due to a stress riser on the bearing races. I've also had persons tell me they've ridden Barellis for thousands of miles with no problem.

I do have two pairs on two bikes and have had no problems, but I haven't put big miles on them. I certainly love the platform design and oversize foot entry tabs, so I hope it's safe to keep riding on these pedals. What say you, list?
