Hello All,

This is the Final Boarding Call for a delightful trip in the European Cycling world of the 40s to the 60s. We will honor Fausto Coppi with a ride on Celeste colored bikes, wear approriate wool jersies and have a robust meal that even mamma Coppi would be proud of. Everyone is welcome, just let me know. Scroll down for specific information.

Hello All,

A reminder. I'm planning the 2nd annual Fausto Coppi Memorial Ride and dinner for Saturday Jan. 19. We'll meet at Woodside school, 9:30 with a 10:00 departure. We'll do a variation on our traditional route. Expect a lesiure to moderate pace, some hills about 20-30 miles. Bianchis and bikes from the 40s to the 60s will be the focus, why not a Bianchi jersey too? Last year we had a huge turn out, hopefully this ride will have equal or better attendence. Bring any bike regardless of make or vintage, all are welcome.

Afterward, I'll make arrangements for an 3:30pm early dinner at Buca di Beppo, 643 Emerson St. in Palo Alto. Feel free to bring any Coppi/Bianchi items that you'd like to share. Please let me know if you're attending the ride and if you're attending the dinner. Rain or threat of rain may cancel. However, the dinner is still on if it rains. So far we've got about 10+ participants including Brett Horton who'll bring some interesting artifacts to show at the dinner.

Regards,
Dave Martinez
