I've ridden Deltas a lot. Great in a pace line for those minor speed adjustments. Look cool to some. Hard to work on. Don't know about stopping. Hard to go fast when using brakes. And finally off topic.

I think that Brandt has a great treatise on wheel building and construction, however I believe that all of this started on a personal level. So if you have personal experience in riding these brakes, then lets here about it.

I am not really sure from reading this what Brandt's opinion of Deltas is. He throws around a lot of terms, but really doesn't seem to state a clear conclusion. I know a lot of people who are skepical of Brandt's claimed expertise, and I sometimes share that skepticism. But I do use his book on wheelbuilding, and have for many years.
