Hi Tom. It's an interesting question. I suspect that a manufacturing perso n would tell us that since there are so few of us, and demand so small, tha t the price per rim would be so expressive that we would just all go get ne w bikes. Of course what these people don't understand is that for this lis t, the 27" are the new bikes. Still, I think that we would be told that if they can't sell thousands of these in a short period of time, they won't b other.

If there are any list members who are in the management side of bicycle mak ing, it would be interesting to hear your thought on this idea.
