I'd be pleased if someone would make a quality MA-2 clone in 700C sans ugly anodizing and toothpaste tube stickers, nevermind 27". Remember when Bontrager was rolling his own MA-2s for nominal 26" rims? I don't think the fat cats are interested in niche markets. They want to sell you what they want to sell you, not what you actually want to buy.
