My 1930s Brooks B17N just came back from its remedial visit to Mr. Colegrave. The old leather top had split in two, at the nose, and was not repairable. I sent him the naked frame parts, with a bit of fresh black paint. He sent it back with a complete new cover, looking just like a period Brooks should - down to just a bit of wear on the rivets, so it doesn't look just out of the box.

I'm also pleased that he adds his own mark on the bottom of the saddle, "A.C.& Co" with "Saddle" beneath, in an oval. It would be the only way to be sure that it wasn't new.

To those of us in the US, the price is high, but I believe it was a very good value, and I'm pleased to recommend him. I'd post pictures, but you've all seen Brooks saddles before, and it looks no different (except, of course, for the period-correct stamping, which includes a large oval one on each skirt). Of course, I've not yet ridden it, but that will come.
