There is another shop that opened a few months ago in the East Village. Its owned by a guy named Jeff that I met at interbike this year. Nice guy and Ive not heard anything about stolen bikes. The last time I was there he had a Colnago in the window dressed in a 50th anniversary group. There were also quite a few steel frames and random vintage bits lying around the shop.
I beleive his shop is on avenue B and 11th or somewhere therabouts .
Id like to make the point again that ive heard nothing about stolen bikes at this shop and that the owners a really nice guy who ive seen in the city throughout the last few years always riding something nice-Harry Quinn, Frejus, etc. just never spoke with him until this year always just noticed his bikes.
Maybe this isnt the same shop in the article either but as close to an on topic shop as ive seen in nyc recently
