To be accurate, it's about 1/2 in Wisconsin and 1/2 in Minnesota. The lake is a wide spot in the Mississippi river which forms the boundary between the states.

The entry has to be cut off at the maximum # that we can have at the Eagles Nest for dinner. I suppose in a normal year a non-participant could choose to ride an old bike around Pepin at the same time as the registered riders. But this year they would have no place to stay, as lodging is a problem. We overnight in the small town of Wabasha MN and this year they are also hosting an American Legion convention, a bass tournament and a large wedding. There may not even be room in the city campground. Many of us are doubling and tripling up on motel rooms and still some are on waiting lists.

Pretty darn close, with the exception of the dreaded Bay City Hill.

To stay on topic, each year a few of the bikes are Sturmey hubbed lightweights.
