Over 50 years ago I remember mounting a Chater-Lea chainring on a Williams 3-arm crank. I have here an old (1950s or 60s?) Williams (C34?) chainset that looks like it has a 88mm BCD as I see published on the http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/ site (although my Sutherland's says it's 88.9mm or 3-1/2"). However, I can't find anywhere what the BCD for Chater-Lea is. I often see auctions for C-L chainrings, but to my eye they appear to have a larger BCD than the C34. Were there diferent sizes, or are my eyes deceiving me?
