I am saddened to hear of Sheldon's passing. As a young cycling enthusiasts, his articles and site have been an enormous influence on my young twenty-something knowledge base. As many have expressed, I feel as if I knew him personally because of how many times I visited his site; despite never actually meeting him. For the younger generation who have been bitten by the bike bug, Sheldon's (and his friend's) articles are often the first source we find. I cannot even estimate how many cyclists my age who have benefited from his efforts to spread cycling knowledge and passion to the world.
I think it is very important that his efforts be continued, and after being a member of this list for sometime now, it is apparent that the collective knowledge of this list has the capacity to continue to teach the younger generations. I strongly urge members of this list to find a way to contribute articles to Sheldon's site, and to continue to make public (i.e. out of this list) the knowledge, knowhow, and abilities of all the members.
My Condolences,
