Hi all, after some reading I can only add, my 1st set of brakes were Mafac racers, learnt early to much application could lock up a back wheel and smoke the front blocks, never seen that on sidepulls. The next set of brakes I bought were Modolo, and pretty much its been that way ever since. My Bosomworth when its finished will have 50th on it, thats the only bike I'll have with the old record SP. I did have a bike for a short while with Monoplaners, they seemed to work well............regards wayne davidson Invers NZ..........
