I have a frame that takes a 27.2mm seatpost, and I just replaced the old post with an SR 27.2mm seatpost with a clamp similar to the old Simplex posts. I really like that design.
But it feels loose in the frame. I measured it with good calipers. And while the old post measures pretty much at 27.2, the new one measures more in the range of 27.08 to 27.12. Though the post is clearly stamped saying 27.2mm.
It tightens up fine in the frame, and everything felt great on my ride. Should I be at all concerned about this? Thanks Dan Kasha Seattle, Wa - was a perfect day to ride today.
