Be sure you have British size (9.5mm) cotter pins for British cranks.
French and Italian are a bit smaller. Also, I have a pair that measure
9.49mm and a bunch I got on eBay, which are 9.27mm and would go in deeper.
If yours are like that, they may look like they need to be shimmed. If in
doubt, Mark Stonich has good quality cotter pins.
