Dang. I shoulda checked with a few a' youse first. Examining the slot more closely it appears it probably *is* a factory job. Argh. Although it does also appear someone filed t he slot wider up at the top. No filing at the bottom. No crack yet either. Maybe if I just round off the corners it'll be ok.

That's terrible. Ugo should be ashamed..
