I will throw in my two cents...

Going a bit on memory as my resource on this...an email from Andrew Muzi, is on my home PC and I am on the road. But I am pretty certain this is the immediate succesor to the early SRA frames. It has virtually all the details of the purple 3Rensho SRA I once owned, with two exceptions. According to Andrew, they started using Shimano dropouts and stopped doing the top mount shifters in the immediate follow on. See link below for a bunch of detailed frame pics of the one I owned.

I would think in a picture without flash, the serial might show clearly. Agreed that it is a bit strange for all the paint to be removed. Addressing someone's comment about the lack of the top mount shifter boss, Andrew did indicate that not all of the early SRAs got them. They would not fit on the smaller frame sizes. Granted the one in the auction is a 58c-t, but still a nice bit of info to know. As for the chrome fork...never seen one either. But that means little. PP picture of the fork in the auction anyway. Both of my 3Renshos have had the three cable guides, but again that means little. Repair? Maybe...perhaps that should be addressed.
