I did a quick, back-of-the-envelope estimate and found that the bike could have about a half ounce of gold on it. This is based on 100 microinch thick plating, which is fairly heavy--but, hey, it's for the POPE. You can paint a bike with--what?--maybe four ounces of paint, three of which end up in the air. None of this is a big swinger.
