I am 52 and have been KOF since 1969 but just didn't know it. I have a 110 year old house with a small shop in the basement. I am short fat and not any top of the line rider. When I go out and do the community clean ups and hit the good will I get all my parts for nothing or very cheap. You would be surprised what people throw away. Just finished a Fuji 70's for a younger friend who has a buddy with top of the line carbon. Went riding on March 16th out of North Saint Paul, Minnesota United States and found out again what riding with guys 20 years younger is like. Watched guy on carbon fly without a worry, concerned watched guy on 30 year old Fugi keep up in every respect for he was just a beginner, priceless. As I fell futher behind decided enjoying the first ride on one of the last days of winter was more important. Then Mr. carbon fiber came back to meet me or let me know I was slow which I considered to be respectful I'll call him Drago from the Rocky movie, he must be beat. I commented that when they become 52 I hoped I could still ride with them. He commented he didn'tknow if he would still be riding at 52. I smiled and thought got you beat already. Found out I could still ride and live another day priceless. Now in my parts finding days I have came across 3 Lamberts in which I have enjoyed. I would like to know if anyone knows the Stronglight crank assembly that you can buy that screws together on the outside so to speak to replace the sealed bearing crank and be able to move up to more modern cranksets. The Lambert and Viscounts are such nice frames I don't mind not having the original stuff. Drago must be beat. I am starting to get alot of Lambert stuff if anyone needs parts thats fine but first I have to find out if this Stronglight crank ass. works. April cleanups start soon hope to get more treasures, cant imagine what I threw away before knowing about this website, almost makes me want to cry. Just one closing thought, no matter what you have or what your intentions are in the old road bike world when your hands touch those bikes and make them into things of beauty that fly along and you and other people can enjoy, for the least amount of restrictions by the man, this is probaly the closest thing to being free that we have left. Don't lose site of this. Dale I finally got VIOLA!!! Thank You
