I recently gave a mountain-biking friend of mine an old Landshark bike I used to ride, to get him hooked. He is very strong, and is really enjoying riding it. But it's too big. He wants to get a classic steel frame, but it will be a pure rider. He doesn't care about a frame's desirability to collectors. He'd need something circa 58cm, ideally suited to a modern build, i.e. 130mm rear, but that stuff could be overcome. He does appreciate cool.
He's the breadwinner for a single-income young family in the San Francisco Bay Area, i.e. not much money for toys. The Landshark is built with mostly on-topic gear, i.e. downtube shifters, quill stem, etc. Most should transpose.
Have such a frame you don't need or want anymore? Please let me know off-list.
Thanks,

P.S. I've already indoctrinated him classic bike racing lore. He appreciates it.
