I cannot provide you with a verifiable introductory date, although I am inclined to believe that Bob Freitas' recollection of 1971 or 1972 is probably quite accurate. What I can tell you that their model 3090 Power Control Levers for Handlebar and Bar End most certainly do appear on page 10 of the 1973 SunTour products catalog - and that is the earliest publication I have for this particular component manufacturer.
