Hello all,
A quick introduction. I was a member for a short while about a year or so ago (basically a lurker), but I found keeping up with the postings even in a bundled format was tough after spending a full day at work on my computer. I'm now off with my 8-month-old daughter and the Internet is something quiet to dabble with while she sleeps. And so I'm back. Caleb, I'll be 36 in a few days, so I am sort of at the end of your 20-30 somethings age bracket.
As for bikes that are on topic, I have a Claud Butler Olympic Sprint from the bike boom that I had repainted in TO by Bicycle Specialities and a mutt of a Bianchi (it's lugged and Italian -- but I'm guessing later 80's and outside of topic range). Both are from their manufacturers' low-mid level range, but they ride quite nicely, and I've become quite fond of them. There are also some garbage day frames that I couldn't bear to see on the curb that now in languish in my garage (sound familiar?).
I suspect I'm like a lot of fledgling members, I love older, lugged steel road bikes, and I will continually keep my eyes out for interesting projects. I also continually think of obtaining a KOF, but my cheapness and consideration of a not-so-bike-crazy spouse keep me in check. Someday...
