Mark,

If you take a look at most of the KOF bikes like Weigle and Vanilla, they use Schmidt E-6 lighting with Schmidt generator hub. I have a 74 Alex Singer with Soubitez lighting and bottle generator. Not a bad system. The light it throws out is OK but not as good as the Schmidt E-6. I suggest when taking the vintage bikes out, use the systems that came with the bike but by all means, supplement them with a helmet mounted modern lighting system.
