You guys make a good point. However, while I wouldn't consider myself an anglomaniac, I also own a couple British cars and the appeal is similar. While I agree, they may not be the most consistent in workmanship and there are plenty of choices for better rides, they do have a unexplainable quality that connects to some other, perhaps emotional, attribute; not unlike a Series I Jag XKE or Austin-Healey 3000. I've also had my '74 longer than all others so there's admittedly a nostalgic aspect there as well. Nevertheless, I don't see paying $1,000 (or more) for one, no matter how "mint."
