Old chrome forks should be carefully looked at by a frame builder/shop. If the fork is out-of-true or poorly brazed and you want to ride your bike down hill fast, you place yourself at risk. I've been to a few shops that have samples of poorly brazed and broken forks. Be careful. And as for price, a good shop or builder would need about an hour to look at and starighten this fork - and should ask for at least $60/hour shop rate.
