Tony Hoar lived here in Vancouver in the 1980s and was a fairly prominent figure in the local racing scene. He competed in veteran class and for a while ran a business building frames and selling bicycles and parts (Canadian Bicycle Specialists). He and his wife Gay Wise sponsored a women's racing team, of which my wife was a member in the early 1980s.
