I need some help from the Philly area members verifying the legitimacy of a eBay seller. Yesterday I bought some Off-Topic Campy Delta brakes (missing one cover plate) on eBay. The seller is bicyclestable, which I noticed only after the auction has zero feedback. He emailed me through eBay wanting me to call with a credit card number. He doesn't take PayPal. He claims to be a Philly area LBS.
I did find a website for Bicycle Stable on Franklin Avenue in Philly (Fishtown). The telephone number on the website does match the one the seller asked me to call. So this may be legit, but zero feedback and no PalPay always makes me nervous. The seller has only been registered on eBay since March, so this may be his first sale.
Can any Philly area members verify the existance of this shop, and whether it is considerd honest?
