Dale, et all: After having my ears burned, but not dropped from the list, I went into my email preferences to have all of the required information automatically added to the sign-off when I hit the send button. I no longer even have to think about it,. Bruce

After years of writing hundreds of messages to CR members who do not sign their messages as required (because they are either are inattentive, too lazy or never read the rules when they join), the previously announce program of simply removing transgressors is in effect. Newbies and old hands alike are suddenly finding themselves no longer enrolled in this forum when they post a message either lacking a sign off, or omitting required information, or stating that information in a cutesy or codified manner.

Many of you would be wise to reread all the rules again, but here is good old rile #1 again:

"1. Sign off all messages with your first & last name, and your city, state & country. No anonymity permitted. So

people can readily understand, spell out the required info in a "straight up" way, using no abbreviations or short cuts? We want our members to know where we are from; that will assist in creating a community, one in which we are communicating "real person to real person," so to speak. If you cannot do this, for whatever reason, please do not join."

Of course the rules in their entirety are here: http://www.classicrendezvous.com/CR_list_rules.htm

Offenders who find themselves in this predicament can rejoin as if for the first time and? that application will be accepted, but now the work burden is shifted to the offender rather than me having to spend so much time writing, cajoling and begging folks to comply.....

Thanks to all those who have modified their email so that they automatically have a sign off signature included in their emails and save all of us from heartburn! ?? :)
