Subject: [CR]North Georgia Confente sighting

So I was out doing a quick metric century out of Rome Georgia on a big group ride and who comes along but a rider on a nice plum colored Confente. We were working pretty hard and not a lot of time to chat, but found out it was #62. Original owner, modern gear (the rear had been spread) - but still going strong. Paint was in good shape (as was the rider) - not sure if paint was origianl. Modern brifters but still carrying the NR brake calipers. We traded pulls in a group for about an hour before we got to the only significant climb of the day and he dropped back. I had hoped to see him at the end to get more info and find out more particulars about the bike and rider - but I never saw him at the end of the ride - he may have avoided the finish area.

If anyone from north Georgia knows this bike and rider - I would be interested to know more. Contact me off list.

Thanks,
