The advocacy of pedaling "squares" or even "triangles" as opposed to "circles" seems completely counter-intuitive. Squares & triangle are polygons, with prescribed sides and angles joining those sides. Circles on the other hand are continuous, smooth, uninterrupted. Mebbe if you're a fan of break dancing you mite prefer pedaling squares or triangles, but would the French have invented the word "souplesse" if not championing the graceful circular pedaling motion that countless riders thruout history have attempted to cultivate in the off-season by riding a fixed gear...? C'mon....!!!
