John, you have every right to blow your own horn... I'd like to tell everyone about a feat of quick witted bike handling that you performed on one of those Cirque fixed gear rides.
We were approaching an intersection and there was some confusion in the bunch as to which was to go. Everyone went straight except one rider who misunderstood and made a left turn. When they did that they happened to be a half length ahead of you and on your right. The rider made a left turn right across your wheel. I was to your right so I was not in danger. My heart was in my mouth. You reacted as quickly as is humanly possible and made the left turn as well. You had no choice.
